Carbon Round Rod Ø5mm 1m

This is a carbon fiber CFR round rod with a fiber content of 63%. The rod is pultruded. Through this manufacturing process, the fibers are arranged unidirectionally, in the longitudinal direction. This achieves a high fiber content, but the rods are susceptible to shear loads. Therefore, we recommend you to use a diamond cutting wheel or saw for cutting, not side cutters. Carbon has excellent mechanical and thermal properties, and is perfect for applications where stability and lightness are required. The surface is slightly porous and can be easily glued to 3D printed parts. This allows for the construction of lightweight, complex and stable structures, for example for model making.
