Carbon Round Rod Ø0.5mm 1m

This is a carbon fiber CFR rod with a fiber content of 63%. The rod is pultruded (pulled). Through this manufacturing process, the fibers are unidirectional, arranged in a longitudinal direction. This allows for a high fiber content, but the rods are susceptible to shearing. Therefore, we recommend using a diamond cutting disc or saw and not a pair of side cutters for cutting. Carbon has excellent mechanical and thermal properties and is perfect for applications where stability and lightness are required. The surface is slightly porous and can be bonded excellently with 3D printed workpieces. This allows for the construction of lightweight, complex and stable frames, for example in model making.
