Carbon Round Rod Ø3mm 1m

This is a carbon fiber CFR round rod with a fiber content of 63%. The rod is pultruded. Through this manufacturing process, the fibers are unidirectional, arranged in the longitudinal direction. This achieves a high fiber content, but the rods are susceptible to shear loads. Therefore, we recommend using a diamond cutting wheel or saw for cutting, and not a side cutter. Carbon has excellent mechanical and thermal properties, and is perfect for applications where stability and lightness are required. The surface is slightly porous and can be easily bonded with 3D printed parts. This allows lightweight, complex, and stable frameworks to be constructed, for example, for model building.
