Carbon Round Rod Ø1.5mm 1m

This is a carbon fiber CFRP round rod with a fiber content of 63%. The rod is pultruded (extruded). The manufacturing process arranges the fibers unidirectionally, in the longitudinal direction. This results in a high fiber content, but the rods are susceptible to shear loads. For cutting, we therefore recommend that you use a diamond cutting disc or saw, not side cutters. Carbon possesses excellent mechanical and thermal properties, making it perfect for applications requiring stability and lightness. The surface is slightly porous, making it ideal for bonding with 3D-printed components. This allows lightweight, complex and stable scaffolds to be constructed, for example for model making.
