WeMos D1 Mini LIPO Battery Shield V1.2.0

This shield (marked WEMOS BATTERY Shield V1.2.0) powers a WeMos D1 mini from a single lithium cell and charges it via Micro-USB. A boost converter uses it to generate the 5 V for the 5V pin of the board. For long runtimes, the ESP8266 should be put into deep sleep and woken only when needed. The battery is not included.

Features:

• Charging current 0.5 A as supplied, can be raised to 1 A with solder bridge J1; the battery must be able to handle 1 A
• Red LED: charging in progress, green LED: charging complete
• The shield uses only the 5V and GND pins of the D1 mini
• Solder bridge J2 connects the battery to A0 via 130 kΩ, for measuring the battery voltage
• Check the polarity of plug and socket before connecting; the socket is marked + and −
