WeMos D1 mini ESP8266 NodeMcu Lua Board

This small microcontroller is very powerful and also features a WLAN radio module. The module is compatible with Arduino IDE and can be easily programmed. With the ESP8266, you can easily connect your projects to the Internet. The board is often used for IoT (Internet of Things) applications or simply connecting devices to the Internet. For example, you can easily connect your data logger to the Internet and log data in a cloud. The WeMos D1 has a micro-USB port for programming and power supply. Since the ESP8266 is a pure 3.3V controller, you should only operate all inputs and outputs with 3.3V! If you still want to connect or control something with 5V, you must use a logic level converter that you can find in our shop. When programming with Arduino IDE, you need to remember that you can control the pins in two different ways. Variant 1 is by the labeled name on the board: Let's take output D1 as an example; you can switch the output using the following command digitalWrite(D1,HIGHT) Variant 2 is by the GPIO number: Here, you control output D1 via the GPIO number. In our example, D1 is GPIO05. Hence, the following command digitalWrite(5,HIGHT) First, you must install this board under the Board Manager in the Arduino IDE. You can find the board under the name "esp8266". If you cannot find the board, you must first add it under File => Preferences => Additional Boards Manager URLs: http://arduino.esp8266.com/stable/package_esp8266com_index.json. Then in Tools => Boards => Boards Manager, you can search and install the ESP8266. As soon as you have done this, you will find various ESP8266 boards under Boards that you can select (select WeMos D1 R2 & mini for this board).
