LiPo Battery 1500mAh JST 2.0 / Lithium Ion Polymer

With this LiPo battery, you can power your battery-operated Arduino projects. The LiPo battery comes with a JST-PH 2-Pin (2mm) connector. This connector fits all Sparkfun boards (ESP32 and Sunny Buddy). Always check the polarity before you plug the connector into a board for the first time. Bear in mind that a short circuit or incorrect connection of the LiPo can cause damage. The battery can only be charged with a special LiPo charger. The ESP32 Thing from Sparkfun already has a charging circuitry for LiPo batteries built in.

If you want your projects to be solar powered, I recommend you operate the battery with the Sunny Buddy and a solar cell. The LiPo battery also has built-in protective circuitry to prevent deep discharge or overcharge.
