DFRobot Capacitive Soil Moisture Sensor

With this capacitive soil moisture sensor from DFRobot, you can easily measure the moisture of plants and detect when the plant needs watering. The sensor has an integrated amplifier, so it can be directly connected to an analog input of an Arduino. The measuring probe is inserted into the soil and measures the capacity of the earth, which changes with the moisture. This capacitive soil moisture sensor, also known as a Capacitive Soil Moisture Sensor, does not suffer from wear or corrosion like a conventional soil moisture sensor, making it more durable. 

Info: Since the sensor's cut edges are not sealed, moisture may enter the circuit board through the cut edge. If you want to extend its lifespan, you should seal the cut edges with clear varnish or epoxy resin.
