XIAO ESP32-C6 Capacitive Soil Moisture Sensor
The Seeed Studio XIAO Soil Moisture Sensor is an intelligent, battery-powered moisture sensor with wireless connectivity to Home Assistant via ESPHome. The compact module combines a capacitive soil sensor with a XIAO controller and Bluetooth Low Energy connectivity in a robust, weatherproof design. It reliably measures soil moisture content and transmits the data energy-efficiently to your smart home system – ideal for plant monitoring, greenhouse control, or hydroponic applications. The sensor is powered by a single AA battery (1.5 V) and achieves several months of runtime due to the energy-saving ESP32C3 module. Via ESPHome, the device can be directly integrated into Home Assistant, with automatic detection of moisture values, battery status, and calibration. An integrated button allows for manual calibration or triggering a single measurement.
