RPLIDAR A1M8-R6 360 Degree Laser Scanner

The RPLIDAR A1 is a cost-effective 360-degree laser scanning solution (LIDAR) developed by SLAMTEC. The system can perform 360-degree scans within a range of 12 meters. The generated 2D point cloud data can be used for mapping, localization and object/environment modeling. The sampling frequency of the RPLIDAR A1 reaches 5.5 Hz when sampling 1450 points per round, and can be configured to a maximum of 10 Hz. The RPLIDAR A1 is basically a laser triangulation measurement system. It can work excellently in all types of indoors and outdoors without direct sunlight. Most traditional, non-solid LIDARs use slip rings to transmit power and data information, but these have a limited lifespan due to mechanical wear. SLAMTEC has developed OPTMAG technology to overcome the lifespan limit of the conventional LIDAR system. Wireless power supply and optical communication technology solve the electrical connection failure caused by physical wear, extending the lifespan.
