Polymaker Fiberon PET-CF17 Black Filament 1.75mm 1kg

The Polymaker Fiberon PET-CF17 is a carbon-fiber-reinforced PET filament with a 17% carbon fiber content, designed for demanding technical applications. The base material, polyethylene terephthalate (PET), achieves particularly high stiffness and excellent dimensional stability through carbon fiber reinforcement. A key advantage over nylon-based carbon fiber filaments is its low moisture sensitivity, ensuring stable mechanical properties even at high humidity levels. The material achieves a modulus of elasticity (E-Modulus) of 5481 MPa and a flexural strength of 109 MPa in the XY direction. After the recommended annealing process at 120 °C for ten hours, the heat deflection temperature increases to up to 148 °C at 0.45 MPa. Processing is possible on most FDM printers with all-metal hotends, without requiring an enclosed or heated chamber. Due to the abrasive carbon fibers, a hardened steel or ruby nozzle is recommended. This filament is excellent for functional prototypes, fixtures, and durable end-use parts. The spool is made of cardboard and contains 1 kg of filament with a diameter of 1.75 mm. Polymaker recommends allowing printed parts to rest for at least 24 hours before annealing or storing them for two hours at 80 °C to relieve internal stresses.
