Creality SparkX i7 Hotend Silicone Protective Cover

The Creality SparkX i7 hotend silicone sock is a thermal-insulating protective cover for the hotend heating assembly of the SparkX i7 3D printer. The sock fits over the heating module, protecting it from heat loss to the environment while keeping filament residue, dust particles, and finger contact away from the heating block. An intact silicone sock significantly contributes to more stable temperature control, as the heating block is less cooled by the cold component cooling. This improves the consistency of the molten layer in the filament and reduces small temperature fluctuations that could otherwise affect print quality. Additionally, the silicone sock prevents filament leakage from burning onto the heating block and becoming stubborn charring on the heating module. The sock is made of heat-resistant silicone that withstands the operating temperatures of the SparkX i7 hotend up to 300°C durably. If there are signs such as discoloration, cracking, stretched apertures, or burnt filament on the sock itself, it should be replaced, as a damaged sock loses its protective function. Replacement is tool-free by pulling the old sock off the cooled hotend and putting the new sock on. Before the intervention, the hotend must be completely cooled down, as there is a risk of burns. The silicone sock is exclusively matched to the geometry of the SparkX i7 hotend.
