Capacitive Soil Moisture Sensor V2.0

This capacitive soil moisture sensor measures the moisture in the soil and thus shows when a plant needs watering. The probe is inserted into the soil and measures the capacitance of the soil there, which changes with the moisture. The sensor has an integrated amplifier and can be connected directly to an analog input, for example of an Arduino. Unlike a conventional soil moisture sensor, it has no wear from corrosion.

Note: The cut edges of the sensor are not sealed, so moisture can enter the circuit board through them. For a longer service life, seal the cut edges with clear varnish or epoxy resin. Insert the sensor only up to the white line.
