This Battery Shield is perfect for powering your Raspberry Pi, Arduino, ESP8266, or ESP32 with a 18650 Li-ion battery. The shield also includes built-in charging circuitry, so you can recharge the lithium batteries via the Micro USB port.

Caution: Please pay attention to the polarity + and - when inserting the 18650 lithium batteries, otherwise, the charging chip will be destroyed!

Operation:

• After the 18650 cells have been inserted, the Shield must be temporarily powered via the Micro USB or USB Type-C (it will only switch on then).
• By briefly pressing the side button (K1), the charging status can be checked
• To switch off the 5V and 3V outputs, the side button (K1) must be pressed for more than 3 seconds.
• To turn on, simply press the side button (K1) briefly
