This 1x18650 battery shield is perfect for powering your Raspberry Pi, Arduino, ESP8266 or ESP32 with 18650 Li-ion battery. The shield also has built-in charging electronics, which allows you to recharge the lithium batteries via the micro USB port (batteries are not included in the delivery).

Attention: When inserting the 18650 lithium batteries, be aware of the polarity + and –, otherwise the charging chip will be destroyed!

Operation:

• Once the 18650 cells have been inserted, the shield must be briefly supplied with power via Micro USB or USB Type-C (then it switches on).
• By briefly pressing the side button (K1), the state of charge can be checked
• To switch off the 5V and 3V outputs, the side button (K1) must be pressed two times.
• To turn on, simply press the side button (K1) briefly
• By toggling the SW1 switch, the automatic shutdown of the shield can be activated or deactivated when no consumer is connected.
