SparkFun LiPo Charger Booster - 5V/1A

The SparkFun LiPo Charger Booster is a board with a voltage converter that powers a 5 V microcontroller from a single-cell LiPo battery. It also charges the battery via USB. This makes it suitable for mobile Arduino projects. The battery is not included.

Important: This is not a direct replacement for the SparkFun Power Cell, as the board uses a different IC. It has no undervoltage protection or other battery protection functions and should therefore only be used with batteries with built-in protection circuitry.

Features:

• Charging via Micro USB, 5 V output
• Charging current 500 mA from the factory, according to SparkFun for batteries from 1 Ah
• Switch for disconnecting the battery, optional external switch on EXT SW
• EN pin switches off the output
• LED for charging and output
• According to SparkFun, draw at most 20 mA from the output while charging and switch on the battery switch before connecting the charger
