RGB LED status indicator for Bambu printer

The BIQU Panda Status is an RGB LED status display with 25 addressable LEDs for visualizing the printer status of Bambu Lab 3D printers. The system is based on an ESP32-S3 microcontroller and communicates wirelessly via 2.4 GHz WiFi with the printer. The status data is transmitted over the network, allowing the system to be used model-independently. The display can be mounted directly on the printer or operated independently as a remote status display. For compatible models, the strip is mounted under the print bed. For printers without a designated mounting point, external operation is possible. Power is supplied via USB-C. Initial setup is done through an integrated web interface, accessed via its own temporary WLAN. After configuration, the strip displays the printer status color-coded. Additionally, various lighting modes are available. The magnetic mounting allows for tool-free installation. A transparent diffuser ensures even light distribution over the entire length of the LED strip. The system is designed for continuous operation and is also suitable for use in print farms.
