M5Stack Pb.HUB IO Expansion Unit with MEGA328

PbHUB from M5Stack is an expander for the GROVE PORTB (black port, used for analog and digital inputs and outputs). This PORTB expander is connected to the M5Stack or M5stick via PORTA (i2C GPIO22 and GPIO21). With the PbHUB, you can configure all IOs to get more outputs or analog inputs. A MEGA328 is installed in PbHub, which takes over the control and reading of the I/O and communicates with the M5Core via i2C (default address 0x40).

Not all M5Units with PORTB (black) can be expanded using PbHUB. PbHUB can only be used for basic single-bus communication, such as digital reading and writing, and analog reading and writing. The following units cannot be operated via the PbHUB:
