M5Stack CoreS3 Thread Border Router Kit with ESP32 S3 and Gateway H2

The M5Stack CoreS3 Thread BR is a complete Thread Border Router Kit that combines the CoreS3 controller with the Module Gateway H2. The CoreS3 is based on the ESP32-S3 SoC with a dual-core Xtensa LX7 processor at 240 MHz and features 16 MB of Flash and 8 MB of PSRAM. It serves as the control core of the edge gateway and runs user applications as well as the OpenThread protocol stack. The 2.4 GHz WiFi provides IP-backhaul connectivity. The integrated 2.0-inch capacitive IPS touch display, microphones, speaker, RTC, camera, and additional peripherals enable use as a development platform and standalone edge gateway with local interaction. The Module Gateway H2 is based on the ESP32-H2-MINI-1 and supports IEEE 802.15.4 for Thread communication. Configured as an OpenThread Radio Co-Processor (RCP), it handles Thread packet forwarding for the CoreS3. The kit is suitable for smart home, environmental monitoring, sensor networks, and low power IoT applications.
