Gravity SGP40 Air Quality Sensor

The air quality sensor SGP40 uses the new digital VOC sensor chip SGP40 from Sensirion. Based on Sensirion's CMOSens® technology, the SGP40 provides a complete sensor system on a single chip. The humidity-compensated indoor air quality signal is read out via the I2C interface. Combined with Sensirion's powerful VOC algorithm, the sensor signal can be directly used to evaluate indoor air quality. It is characterized by low power consumption of 2.6mA, fast response time 2s, and small dimensions. The data can be used to assess air quality without calibration. Integrated with an easy-to-connect Gravity interface, this Gravity SGP40 air quality sensor is very suitable for projects in indoor areas that are used over a longer period of time, such as retrofitting air purifiers, kitchen hoods, etc. In addition, there are C and Python libraries for use with various platforms.

Info: The VOC index is determined by converting the detected ethanol equivalent in the air. The SGP40 has a PH2.0-4P Gravity connector. You can reverse the included connector cable by plugging in a Dupont cable M-M 10cm male. This way, you can also use it on an Arduino UNO.
