DFRobot Solar Power Manager for 12V Lead Batteries
The DFRobot Solar Power Manager series is designed for IoT projects and renewable energy projects, offering you safe and highly efficient solar power management modules. With this medium-power, highly efficient solar power management module, you can charge economical 12V lead-acid battery with a maximum of 4A with a standard 18V solar panel. This charge controller is suitable for applications within 100W, such as 12V lighting systems, security monitoring, small robots, pumps or environmental monitoring stations. The module has an MPPT function (Maximum Power Point Tracking), which maximizes the efficiency of the solar module. MPPT is able to maximize the conversion efficiency of solar energy even in weak sunlight. Compared to traditional PWM solar controllers, it can improve charging power by 10% to 30%. Thanks to its small size and low weight, it can be easily integrated into your projects. The module offers two high-output 5V 5A (OUT1) and 12V 8A (OUT2) as well as two USB outputs 5V 2.5A (USB1/USB2). Except for USB1, all outputs can be switched on and off via the IO pins of most controllers (3-3V/5V compatible). This function helps to supply loads dynamically and reduce power consumption. In addition, various protection functions are used to ensure the safety and stability of solar systems.
