16-Channel Relay Module

The 16-channel relay module switches loads up to 30 V via the digital outputs of a microcontroller such as Arduino, and with a level converter also from ESP32 or Raspberry Pi. The control lines are on a two-row pin header and can be connected with Dupont cables, and the load is connected via screw terminals. The relays are powered with 5 V via the DC+ and DC- terminals.

Important: For safety reasons, the module is only intended for voltages up to 30 V and not for mains voltage. The marking 10A 250VAC applies to the individual relay, not to the module. The module is therefore not suitable for switching the mains supply of devices such as a 3D printer.

Connection to 5 V Logic (for example Arduino UNO):

DC+ and DC- terminals to a 5 V power supply. About 960 mA flows with 16 relays switched, and the power supply must deliver this
GND of the pin header to GND
Pin 1 to a digital output, for example pin 8
Pins 2 to 16 likewise to further outputs
Pin 5V of the header: measure before connecting whether it is linked to DC+. Do not connect two voltage sources together
Check the switching level on one channel: dealers state output LOW for relay switched

Connection to 3.3 V Logic (for example ESP32, Raspberry Pi):

This module has no JD-VCC jumper like the 4- and 8-channel modules
The GPIO pins do not tolerate 5 V. Therefore do not connect pins 1 to 16 directly, but route them through a logic level converter
DC+ and DC- terminals to a 5 V power supply as with 5 V logic
Connect GND of the pin header, the level converter and the microcontroller
