WisBlock RAK5860 LTE NB-IoT Interface Module

The RAK5860 WisBlock NB-IoT interface module is part of the flexible IoT solution WisBlock and requires a combination with a WisBlock Core and a base module. It was specifically designed to work with the RAK5005-O Baseboard, enabling wireless communication (LTE Cat M1, LTE Cat NB2) for end applications. The module supports the LTE-FDD network and the half-duplex operation in the LTE network, and it optionally also offers GNSS functionality. A micro USB port is available for easier troubleshooting, through which AT commands can be sent, data transferred and GNSS-NMEA outputs can be received.

The WisBlock ecosystem by RAK Wireless offers compact and modular solutions to build your own IoT-LoRaWAN nodes. On a WisBlock Base Board, various CPU, sensor, and IO expansion modules can be mounted. Unlike traditional connectors, the modules are screwed onto the base board. This creates a secure and reliable mount with industry quality. Thanks to the modular and compact design, WisBlock is particularly suitable for applications in prototype construction of professional or hobby areas. 

Note: The module is connected to a RAK BaseBoard via the 40-pin IO slot.
