WisBlock RAK14001 RGB LED Module

The RAK14001 is an RGB LED module that enables precise control of RGB LEDs via the I2C interface. The main feature of the module is the NCP5623B from On Semiconductors, an integrated circuit with a built-in highly efficient DC/DC converter. This converter acts as a charge pump and generates the required DC voltage for all three LED segments. Additionally, the module has an IREF pin that provides the reference current based on the internal bandgap voltage reference to precisely control the LED output current. The RAK14001 is a versatile solution for easily and efficiently driving RGB LEDs in WisBlock projects. 

The WisBlock ecosystem from RAK Wireless offers compact and modular solutions to create your own IoT-LoRaWAN nodes. On a WisBlock Base Board, various CPU, sensor, and IO expansion modules can be mounted. Unlike traditional connectors, the modules are fixed to the base board with screws. This creates a secure and reliable mounting with industrial quality. Thanks to its modular and compact design, WisBlock is particularly suitable for applications in prototyping in the professional or hobby area. 

Note: The module is connected to a RAK BaseBoard via the 40-pin IO slot.
