MAX31855K Thermocouple Breakout SparkFun

The SparkFun MAX31855K breakout digitises a type K thermocouple with 14 bits and outputs the value via an SPI-compatible interface. It reads from -200 °C to +700 °C with ±2 °C accuracy. The chip continuously measures the cold junction temperature with an internal diode. The thermocouple is connected via a soldered-on standard PCC-SMP-K socket (not included) or soldered directly into the + and − through holes.

Important: The chip only tolerates logic levels up to 3.6 V. A logic level converter is required on a 5 V Arduino.
