The Shelly BLU Button Tough 1 ZB is a robust, shock-, water-, and dust-proof wireless button with Zigbee 3.0 and Bluetooth 5. With one button and multi-click detection (single, double, long press), various actions, scenes, and devices can be triggered directly. The button functions both as a Bluetooth beacon and as a Zigbee end-device and can be integrated into a variety of smart home systems. Inside is an EFR32MG27 multi-protocol controller with 768 kB of flash. Wireless communication is encrypted, allowing it to be used safely, for example, as a garage door opener. The range is up to ten meters indoors and up to 30 meters outdoors. Power is supplied by a replaceable CR2032 button cell with a life of up to two years. The black plastic housing is compact and portable, suitable for both indoor and outdoor use, and operates in a temperature range of -20 °C to +60 °C. The button can be linked to Shelly Plus, Pro, Gen3, and Gen4 devices as a Bluetooth gateway via the Shelly Smart Control App. Integration in Home Assistant, Zigbee2MQTT, ZHA, or Matter setups via corresponding hubs is also possible. The range of functions can be extended as desired by automation and webhook. The button function remains locally usable even without an active cloud connection.
