Prusa CORE One PEI Structured Double-Sided Spring Steel Build Plate

The Prusa CORE One PEI Structured Double-Sided Spring Steel Build Plate is a removable build sheet made of spring steel with a powder-coated PEI surface on both sides. It is specifically designed for use with the Prusa CORE One and CORE One+ 3D printers. The MK52 heated bed of the printer features embedded high-temperature magnets that securely hold the steel sheet in place. The powder coating directly on the metal makes the build plate highly resistant to mechanical damage. If a hot nozzle penetrates the surface, the metal effectively dissipates the heat. The structured surface transfers a characteristic texture to the underside of printed objects. Scratches on the surface only affect the tips of the small elevations and are not visible on the underside of the print. Finished prints usually release from the surface on their own after the sheet cools down. No glue stick is required for PETG prints, while a brim (rim) is recommended for PLA prints with a small contact area. Importantly, this structured PEI sheet must never be cleaned with acetone, as this causes microfractures in the coating and permanently damages the surface.
