POE USB-C Splitter 5V/2.5A IEEE 802.3af
This is a POE IEEE 802.3 af/at (Power over Ethernet) splitter that divides a Gigabit Ethernet into a USB-C and RJ45 port. This allows you to conveniently operate devices that do not have a POE function with just one Ethernet cable. The USB-C output delivers 5V with a max. of 2.5A, so you can easily operate your Raspberry Pi via POE.
Important note on using the adapter with Raspberry Pi:
If you are using the adapter with a Raspberry Pi 4 or Pi 3, network connection problems may occur in combination with certain switches. This is due to the auto-negotiation of the network adapter. To fix this problem, you can manually disable auto-negotiation. To do this, run the following command in the terminal:
sudo ethtool -s eth0 speed 100 duplex full autoneg off
Please note that after this change the adapter will only work in 100-speed mode. However, this should be sufficient for many applications.
