M5Stack Unit INA226-1A Current Voltage and Power Monitor

The M5Stack Unit INA226-1A is a measurement module that can precisely monitor current, voltage, and power in DC circuits. It is suitable for measurements up to 30 V DC and currents up to ±1 A in both directions. An integrated 16-bit ADC ensures high precision measurement results for current and voltage and allows real-time power calculation. The module communicates via an I2C interface with a microcontroller or M5Stack core, facilitating integration into many development platforms (such as Arduino or UIFlow). A special feature of this unit is the complete galvanic isolation between the measurement side and the control side: an isolated power supply and an I2C signal isolator ensure that the monitored circuit remains electrically separated from the controller. This isolation increases the system's immunity to interference and protects the controlling electronics from high voltage spikes or interference. For safety, the INA226-1A Unit also features a self-resetting fuse that trips when the 1-A current limit is exceeded, preventing damage. With these safety features and precise measurement technology, the module is excellent for monitoring electrical parameters in various applications. In energy management systems, for example, the current and voltage profile can be precisely tracked. In battery monitoring, the charge and discharge current can be measured in real-time. In motor controls, the module provides feedback on the driving current. Due to its compact design (only 58 x 24 x 10.2 mm, 8.5 g), the module can be easily integrated into projects without taking up much space.
