M5Stack Unit INA226-10A Current Voltage and Power Monitor

The M5Stack Unit INA226-10A is a measurement module that can precisely monitor current, voltage, and power in direct current circuits. It is suitable for measurements up to 30 V DC and currents up to ±10A in both directions. An integrated 16-bit ADC ensures highly accurate measurement results for current and voltage and enables the calculation of power in real-time. The module communicates with a microcontroller or M5Stack Core via an I2C interface, making integration into many development platforms (such as Arduino or UIFlow) easier. A special feature of this unit is the complete galvanic isolation between the measurement side and the control side: an isolated power supply and an I2C signal isolator ensure that the monitored circuit remains electrically isolated from the controller. This isolation increases the system's noise immunity and protects the controlling electronics from high voltage spikes or interferences. For safety, the INA226-10A Unit also has a self-resetting fuse that trips if the 10A current limit is exceeded, preventing damage. With these safety features and precise measuring technology, the module is excellent for monitoring electrical values in various applications. In energy management systems, for example, the current and voltage progression can be tracked precisely. In battery monitoring, the charge and discharge current can be measured in real-time. In motor controls, the module provides feedback on the flowing drive current. Due to its compact design (only 58 x 24 x 10.2 mm, 8.5 g), the module can be easily integrated into projects without taking up much space.
