The Heltec Mesh Node T096 is a power-efficient development board that combines Bluetooth, LoRa, and GNSS in a compact design. At its core is the nRF52840 microcontroller, providing ample processing power and Bluetooth 5 connectivity. The integrated SX1262 LoRa transceiver with Power Amplifier delivers a maximum transmission power of 28±1 dBm, ensuring excellent range and connection stability. For positioning, the UC6580 GNSS chip with L1 and L5 support is embedded, capable of receiving GPS, GLONASS, BeiDou, Galileo, NAVIC, and QZSS signals. The Bluetooth and GNSS antennas use Laser Direct Structuring (LDS) technology, resulting in a compact and robust antenna solution. The board features an integrated lithium battery management system with charging and discharging control, overcharge protection, battery level detection, and automatic switching between USB and battery power. Additionally, it includes a solar panel connector (SH1.25) and a battery connector (SH1.25). The USB-C interface offers comprehensive voltage protection, ESD protection, short-circuit protection, and RF shielding. The Mesh Node T096 is fully compatible with the Arduino development environment and supports open-source mesh projects like Meshtastic and MeshCore. Thanks to its extremely low power consumption, with a Bluetooth operating current of just 2–10 mA and a sleep current of 12 µA, the board is ideal for battery-powered applications in decentralized mesh networks, asset tracking, and remote sensing.
