Gravity Flow Sensor 1/2 Inch
The Gravity water flow sensor from DFRobot measures the speed of a liquid flowing through it. The water flow sensor YF-S201 consists of a plastic valve body, flow rotor, and hall effect sensor. It is usually used at the inlet to capture the flow rate. When liquid flows through the sensor, a magnetic rotor spins and its rotation speed changes with the flow rate. The hall effect sensor then emits a pulse-width signal. Connect the sensor to a microcontroller and you can monitor and regulate the water flow of several devices like a coffee machine, sprinkler or a laser's water cooling according to your needs!
Information:
- Avoid contact of the sensor with corrosive chemicals
- The sensor must be installed vertically, not more than 5 degrees tilted.
- The temperature of the liquid should be below 100°C to avoid damage to the sensor.
