Gravity Flow Sensor 1/2 Inch

The Gravity water flow sensor from DFRobot measures the speed of a liquid flowing through it. The water flow sensor YF-S201 consists of a plastic valve body, flow rotor, and hall effect sensor. It is typically used at the inlet to measure the flow rate. When liquid flows through the sensor, a magnetic rotor turns and the rotation speed changes with the flow rate. The hall effect sensor then outputs a pulse width signal. Connect the sensor to a microcontroller and you can monitor several devices, such as a coffee machine, sprinkler, or water cooling for a laser, and adjust the water flow according to your needs!

Information:

• Avoid contact of the sensor with corrosive chemicals
• The sensor must be installed vertically, not more than 5 degrees tilted.
• The temperature of the liquid should be below 100°C to avoid damage to the sensor.
