Acceleration Sensor ADXL345 GY-291
The ADXL345 (GY-291) is a small, thin, highly power-efficient 3-axis acceleration sensor with high resolution (13-bit) for acceleration values of ± 16 g. The measurement range can be adjusted to the following ranges: ±2g, ±4g, ±8g, or ±16g. The measurement data is transmitted digitally via SPI (3- or 4-wire) or I2C interface. The ADXL345 is well suited for mobile device applications due to its low power consumption. The module can also be mounted very well using the two provided mounting holes. The ADXL345 is suitable for both static applications for measuring earth's acceleration (tilt applications) as well as for dynamic acceleration, motion, or shock. Its high resolution (4 mg/LSB) allows for measurement of tilt changes of less than 1 degree. The sensor also features special sensor functions such as activity measurement (motion present adjustable via a threshold), inactivity measurement (no motion present), touch detection, and free fall detection. These sensor functions can be individually assigned to one of two output pins interrupts. For example, you can assign and evaluate a free fall of the sensor to an interrupt of the Arduino board.
