A4988 Stepper Motor Driver Module

The A4988 is a driver for stepper motors up to 2 A. It supports micro stepping up to 1/16 for fine, low-vibration movements. The driver fits RAMPS 1.4 boards for 3D printers and is suitable for other Arduino projects with stepper motors. An aluminium heat sink for sticking on is included. Take care not to cause a short circuit when attaching it.

Features:

• Current limit via the potentiometer: Vref = current × 8 × 0.1 Ω
• Approx. 1 A per coil without cooling, 2 A only with additional cooling
• Fit an electrolytic capacitor of at least 47 µF between VMOT and GND close to the module
• Do not connect or disconnect the motor under power: this can destroy the driver
