WisBlock RAK12027 Earthquake Sensor D7S

This is a WisBlock earthquake sensor module by RAK Wireless. The RAK12027 uses the Omron D7S sensor chip. It is the smallest high-precision seismic sensor in the world. Not only does it provide seismic data, but it also features an alarm output that activates when there is a seismic intensity of 5 or higher on the JMA (Japan Meteorological Agency) Seismic Intensity Scale. This offers the opportunity to shut down sensitive machinery and facilities. The D7S sensor also detects when the sensor's horizontal position changes, indicating a collapse of the structure in which the sensor has been installed. The module is mounted on a 20pin sensor slot from a WisBlock Base Board. To use the module, you need at least one WisBlock Base Board and one Core module. RAK Wireless' WisBlock ecosystem offers compact and modular solutions to create your own IoT-LoRaWAN nodes. Various CPU, sensor, and IO extension modules can be mounted on a WisBlock Base Board. Unlike conventional connectors, the modules are screwed onto the Base Board. This creates a secure and reliable industrial-grade attachment. Thanks to its modular and compact design, WisBlock is particularly suitable for applications in professional or hobby prototype construction.
