Hardness Comparison of Different TPU/TPE Materials:

• 83A (TPE) = very soft and rubber-like
• 87A (TPU) = soft to semi-hard, pleasantly elastic
• 95A (TPU) = medium hardness, still flexible and bendable
• 64D (TPU) = very hard, almost like a rigid plastic with residual flexibility

Handling of TPU-64D:

• Moisture Absorption: TPU quickly absorbs moisture from the air, leading to bubble formation, stringing, and rough surfaces. Therefore, the filament should be stored immediately after opening in a dry box (below 15% humidity).
• Drying when Moist: If the material has become moist, it should be dried 4–8 hours in a dry box at 60–80 °C to restore print quality.
• Extruder Choice: High-hardness TPU like 64D can also be processed with Bowden extruders, but for a higher success rate, a direct extruder (short-range extruder) is recommended.
