The PEBA-90A (Polyether Block Amide) from eSun is a highly elastic specialty filament with exceptional resilience, outstanding cold impact toughness, and great elongation capacity of over 520% at break (XY). It combines the flexibility of an elastomer with the mechanical resistance of an engineering plastic and is therefore ideal for applications where high resilience, shock absorption, and load-bearing are required even at low temperatures. In model building, PEBA-90A has established itself as a superior tire material: The traction of printed tires is about three times higher than comparable TPU tires, which translates directly into significantly better grip and more precise driving behavior. A decisive advantage over TPU is the largely constant material hardness over a wide temperature range—TPU tires become noticeably harder in winter and lose grip, while they become softer in summer and tend to deform; PEBA-90A maintains its elastic properties almost unchanged in both cold and warm conditions.
Note: With transparent PEBA products, slight color differences may occur between different production batches. Occasionally, small black dots may appear along the lines of transparent parts; this is a normal manufacturing phenomenon and does not affect product performance or normal usage.
