The Raspberry Pi 4B is the 4th generation of the popular Raspberry Pi family! Compared to its predecessor, the Raspberry Pi 3 Model B+, the Pi 4B offers a significant increase in processing speed, multimedia performance, memory, and connectivity. For the end user, the Raspberry Pi 4 Model B offers desktop performance comparable to entry-level x86 PC systems. The Raspberry Pi 4B includes a powerful 64-bit quad-core processor and offers dual display support with resolutions up to 4K via two micro HDMI ports, hardware video decoding with up to 4Kp60, up to 4GB of RAM, dual band 2.4/5.0 GHz Wireless LAN, Bluetooth 5.0, Gigabit Ethernet, USB 3.0, and PoE capability (via a separate PoE HAT add-on).

Important Information for Operating the Raspberry Pi 4 Model B

The Raspberry Pi should only be connected to an external power supply with a rated voltage of at least 5V/3A DC or 5.1V/3A DC.
The Raspberry Pi should be operated in a well-ventilated environment and the processor should not be covered when used in a case. For optimal operation, we recommend our optional metal case with heatsink and fan.
The Raspberry Pi should be placed on a stable, flat, non-conductive surface when in use and should not be contacted by conductive objects.
Connecting incompatible devices to the GPIO port can affect compliance and cause damage to the device and void the warranty. In particular, it should be noted that the GPIO can tolerate a maximum of 3.3V. Therefore, never connect sensors with 5V logic to the Raspberry Pi.
