RAK10701 LoRaWAN Field Tester Plus EU868

The Field Tester Plus RAK10701 Plus is a portable measurement device for analyzing LoRaWAN networks in the 8-xx-MHz band. It is suitable for use in Europe (EU868), Russia (RU864), and India (IN865), and operates independently from a smartphone or laptop. A 3.5-inch TFT touchscreen with a resolution of 480 × 320 pixels displays the quality of uplink and downlink signals (RSSI, SNR, packet loss) in real-time and allows labeling of measurement points directly on the device. The integrated GNSS module determines the position and calculates the distance to the receiving gateways; analysis also works indoors without GPS. Data rate, frequency band, and transmission power can be configured through the intuitive user interface; results can be exported as CSV and evaluated in the backend with the WisGateOS-2 extension. The tester supports LoRaWAN 1.0.3 and operates as a Class-A device with OTAA activation; it is compatible with TTN, ChirpStack, AWS IoT Core, or private networks with an integrated network server. Bluetooth Low Energy is available for wireless configuration (compatible with the WisToolBox app), and a USB-C port is used to charge the integrated 3.7 V lithium battery with 3200 mAh and to configure the device. The performance can be optimized thanks to the interchangeable RP-SMA antenna; the set includes two antennas with 2.0 dBi and 2.3 dBi gain. The gray housing made of robust plastic measures 100.0 × 75.0 × 38.0 mm and withstands operating temperatures from –10 °C to +60 °C.
