RAK PowerLink RAK9105U LoRaWAN Restart Switch 868 MHz

The RAK PowerLink RAK9105U is a LoRaWAN-based remote power control module designed for managing and rebooting devices such as gateways, LTE-CPEs, Wi-Fi routers, or IP cameras. It connects between the power source and the end device, allowing for remote on/off switching or reboot via LoRaWAN downlink command, ideal for installations in hard-to-reach locations. The core is the integrated RAK3172 LoRa module, supporting the LoRaWAN 1.0.3 Class C standard, designed for reliable communication in the 8XX MHz band (EU868/RU864/IN865). Power can be supplied flexibly from 9 to 24 V DC through a round DC input or a four-pin terminal block, allowing connection of the RAK Battery Plus system. The device provides three outputs: a constant 12 V DC output, an MCU-controlled 12 V DC output, and an MCU-controlled 5 V USB-C output. This allows connected devices to be powered continuously or restarted as needed; the maximum current is 2 A for the 12 V outputs and 3 A for the 5 V USB port. A USB-C console port enables module configuration and firmware updates, while the integrated firmware is based on RUI3 and LoRaWAN keys are pre-installed. Thanks to Class C operation, the PowerLink continuously listens for incoming commands and responds quickly; it can also be seamlessly integrated with the Datacake platform to create a ready-to-use plug-and-play solution. Optionally, an external LoRa antenna can be connected to the I-PEX port to improve signal range. The PMMA housing is robust and designed for indoor use in temperatures from -30 °C to +75 °C. With dimensions of 105.5 × 74.4 × 37.2 mm and a weight of 299 g, the RAK PowerLink is a compact and reliable solution for remote-controlled power supplies. It can be integrated into existing networks via LoRaWAN OTAA and supports a variety of frequency bands, with this version calibrated for the 8XX-MHz band for EU868/RU864/IN865.
