This is a high-quality, retrofittable Direct Drive Extruder for the 3D printers of the CR-10 and Ender-3 series from Creality. Compared to Bowden Extruders, Direct Drive Extruders have the advantage of being directly mounted to the hotend, resulting in a shorter and stiffer filament feed. This can make printing with flexible filaments such as TPU easier, as it leads to less "slippage". Furthermore, Direct Drive Extruders generally have a more precise and smoother extrusion because the distance between the extruder and nozzle is minimized. The extruder is already integrated into a high-quality full-metal hotend from Micro Swiss to guarantee the best printing results.
