M5Stack Meshtastic Unit C6L ESP32-C6 SX1262

The M5Stack Meshtastic Unit C6L is a highly integrated LoRa communication unit specifically designed for private LoRa networks and use with the Meshtastic firmware. At its core, it runs an ESP32-C6 RISC-V processor with a 160 MHz high-performance core and 20 MHz low-power core, combined with an SX1262 transceiver and an RF switch stage. The device supports LoRa radio in the range of 868–923 MHz and features two SMA antenna ports for 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi 6 and LoRa to ensure a stable wireless connection. An integrated 0.66-inch OLED display with a resolution of 64×48 pixels and a programmable RGB LED facilitate user interaction. Additionally, a buzzer and a button are available for providing simple user feedback. Thanks to the HY2.0-4P expansion interface and LEGO-compatible mounting holes, sensors or modules can be easily attached, enabling versatile projects. Overvoltage protection is provided by the AW32901FCR chip. With support for Meshtastic, off-grid networks for messaging and sensor monitoring can be easily established. The combination of Wi-Fi 6 and LoRa opens up a wide range of applications in industrial and outdoor communications. The board is compact (62 × 24 × 8 mm) and weighs only 13.6 g without the antenna. A USB-C port supplies 5 V power; in sleep mode, the device requires less than 1 mA, and when transmitting continuously with LoRa, the power consumption is around 80 mA. Due to its lightweight and robust construction, the unit is ideal for mobile projects where long range and low power consumption are crucial.
