LilyGo T-Radar 60 GHz Radar Module

The LILYGO T-Radar is a high-precision radar module for contactless motion, presence, and distance detection. It is based on the Acconeer A121 sensor, a 60 GHz Pulsed Coherent Radar (PCR) with picosecond time resolution. Unlike conventional Doppler radar systems, the A121 works with pulsed coherent radar technology, which enables exceptionally high measurement accuracy in the sub-millimeter range. In addition to coarse movements, the sensor also detects the finest micro-movements such as breathing or heartbeat. The maximum range is up to 20 meters, with the optimal detection range between 0.2 and 6 meters. The radar sensor integrates baseband processor, RF frontend, and antenna in a single package (Antenna in Package). The module connects to an external host system such as ESP32, Arduino, or Raspberry Pi via an SPI interface. Thanks to its high resistance to interference from dust, noise, color, as well as direct and indirect light, the T-Radar is ideal for demanding environments. The compact design and low power consumption make it particularly attractive for battery-powered IoT and smart home applications.
