Humidity sensor / Soil moisture sensor module

This soil moisture sensor measures the moisture of the soil and detects when a plant needs watering. The probe sits in the soil and measures the resistance of the soil, which changes with moisture. The evaluation module provides an analog value and a digital signal whose threshold is set via the potentiometer.

Important: Because current flows through the soil, the probe corrodes in continuous use, within weeks to months according to customer reports. Therefore, power the probe only during measurement.
