The Elecrow CrowPanel 1.28 Inch HMI ESP32 Rotary Display is an intelligent round touch display with an integrated rotary knob for versatile control tasks. The module is based on an ESP32-S3R8 dual-core processor with a 240 MHz clock frequency and offers both capacitive touch operation and rotary knob input. The rotary knob supports clockwise and counterclockwise rotation as well as full pressing as a confirmation button and provides tactile, quiet clicking with each rotation for precise haptic feedback. The capacitive touchscreen features an integrated mechanical clicker below the display, allowing for a physical click like laptop trackpads when pressing the display downwards. The 1.28-inch IPS display with a 240×240 pixel resolution offers clear representation and wide viewing angles. The system has 512 KB of SRAM, 8 MB of PSRAM, and 16 MB of flash memory for extensive applications. The wireless connectivity includes 2.4 GHz WiFi (802.11 a/b/g/n) and Bluetooth 5.0 with BLE Low Energy for IoT applications. Three expansion interfaces (2× UART ZX-MX 1.25-4P, 1× I2C ZX-MX 1.25-4P, and 1× 12P FPC connector) enable flexible hardware expansions. The housing is made of a combination of aluminum alloy, plastic, and acrylic providing a high-quality appearance. An LED ambient light adds a visual component and enhances the user experience.
