The Creality Pre-Filter Kit is a set of 10 pre-filters for the Creality Falcon Smoke Purifier (stand-alone unit, 100 W). The pre-filters form the first stage of the three-stage filter system and capture coarse, visible particles such as dust, wood chips, metal shavings, and plastic residues that occur during laser engraving and laser cutting. By pre-separating these coarse particles, it prevents the downstream HEPA filter and activated carbon filter from clogging prematurely. This extends the life of the more expensive main filters and maintains the full suction power of the Smoke Purifier. Pre-filters are consumables with significantly shorter replacement intervals than the main filters. The manufacturer recommends replacing the pre-filters every 7 to 15 days, or at the latest, when the filter surface is more than 70 percent covered with dirt and can no longer be cleaned. With average use, a set of 10 is sufficient for about five months of operation. The simple design allows for tool-free replacement: remove the lid, remove the used pre-filter, and insert the new one. In order for the filter system to achieve its full cleaning performance of 99.97 percent, pre-filters, HEPA filters, and activated carbon filters must always be used together.
