Creality CFS Lite Desiccant Pack Replacement

The Creality CFS Lite desiccant pack is an original consumable that keeps the air inside the Creality Filament System Lite (CFS Lite) dry and protects the inserted filaments from moisture absorption. Many 3D printing filaments are hygroscopic and absorb moisture from the surrounding air, which can lead to printing problems such as bubbling, stringing, poor layer adhesion, and reduced strength of printed parts. The desiccant ensures controlled, low humidity in the closed CFS Lite housing, thus maintaining the print quality of the stored materials. The CFS system has two desiccant compartments where the granules are inserted. The composition of the desiccant is based on calcium chloride, which binds moisture particularly effectively. Since calcium chloride chemically binds the absorbed moisture, the desiccant is not reusable after saturation and must be replaced with a new pack. Discoloration of the indicator beads or an increase in the indicated humidity in the CFS are signs that a replacement is necessary. Before inserting, the protective film on the surface of the desiccant must be removed so it can take effect. Subsequently, the desiccant is placed in the designated compartments of the CFS Lite. Regular replacement of the desiccant is an important part of maintaining the multi-material system and ensures consistently good print results. The pack is tailored to the desiccant compartments of the CFS and should be used according to compartment size.
