PLA-Y Smoothing Agent PLA Smoothing Agent 100ml

The PLA-Y Smoothing Agent Smoothant is a specialized solvent developed for the high-quality post-processing of 3D-printed objects made from Polylactide (PLA). The application is done through direct contact of the product with the surface of the part, allowing controlled smoothing. The product is compatible with most common PLA variants. For smaller prints, the shaking method is recommended: The object is shaken together with approximately 5 ml of the agent in a suitable glass container for 30 seconds. For larger parts, the agent can also be applied with a brush to ensure targeted treatment. After application, the part must cure on a silicone mat for 5 to 10 minutes to achieve the final surface quality. The chemical reaction effectively smoothes the layer lines and results in a very glossy finish. The process can be repeated if necessary by brushing the part again and drying it to intensify the gloss level. The product is not compatible with Polymaker HT PLA.
