Xtar VC8 8-Slot Li-ion/Ni-MH Charger

The VC8 battery charger is the first 8-slot charger from Xtar. With the USB Type-C input, it supports fast charging with QC3.0 and has a maximum output current of 3A on a single slot. For charging, five different charging currents of 3A, 2A, 1A, 0.5A and 0.25A can be selected (note not every current strength is supported by all charging slots). All status information from the charging process is displayed in real time on the easy-to-read display. Charging of LiFePO4 batteries is also possible with the storage mode! All charging functions are only supported on CH1 to CH4.

Charging functions:

Charging mode CH1-CH8:

Here a battery is charged and the charged capacity and the internal resistance of the battery are displayed on the display.

Evaluation mode (GRADE) CH1-CH4

In grading mode, the charger charges the battery. When the battery is fully charged, it is discharged (300mA). Then the battery is completely charged again. This is used to evaluate how good a battery still is. The effective capacity of the battery and the internal resistance are displayed on the display.

Storage mode CH1-CH4:

This mode is used to bring batteries to an optimal storage voltage when they are not used for a long time. In storage mode, the charger charges the batteries to <3.7V (Li-ion) or <1.2V (Ni-Mh). If the batteries have more voltage when they are inserted, they are discharged to the optimal voltage values.

In storage mode, this charger can charge LiFePO4 batteries.
