SparkFun FTDI Basic Breakout - 3.3V

This is the latest version of the Sparkfun FTDI Basic Programmer / Programming Adapter. On the underside there is a 6-pin SMD plug / socket where you can plug in your Dupont cables for connecting the data lines directly. This is a simple breakout board for the FTDI FT232RL USB to serial IC. The layout of this board matches the FTDI cable to work with official Arduino and cloned 3.3V Arduino boards as well as ESP8266 and ESP32. The FTDI Basic Board can also be used for general serial applications. 

With this board, the DTR is led out instead of the RTS pin. This allows the microcontroller to be automatically reset after a program has been uploaded.
